Szafarnia is located on a PTTK hiking trail, marked with yellow colour, which runs from Toruń to Radomno. Total length of this trail is 180km.

The Chopin Centre is located 53km from this trail. In its closest vicinity one can find such places as XIII century Castle in Golub Dobrzyń which was erected by Teutonic Knights, partly preserved house of Maria Dąbrowska in Płonne where, according to tradition, she wrote Nights and Days and St. Jacob’s gothic church located in the same village. In the area near Płonne there is also the most impressive nature monument in kujawsko-pomorskie voivodship, the so called Larch Hill. It is an outstanding reserve in which one can find 10 larch trees, which are said to be 300 years old.

Further, the trail takes us to Brodnica where, through Brodnica Lake District and two picturesque Bachotek and Ciche lakes one gets to Radomno village.
