On Sunday, May 19, with the prizewinners’ concert we finished the 27th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth in Szafarnia, which took place on May 16-19, 2019 at the Chopin Center in Szafarnia.

It is a great honour for us that for over 27 years young pianists from around the world have the opportunity to present and develop their piano skills in Szafarnia, which, as a place of Fryderyk Chopin’s summer holidays, is for them a source of inspiration . We are happy that once again Szafarnia resounded with music and the extraordinary energy of young performers. This year 55 participants took part in the competition. They represented 18 countries, such as: Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Italy, Spain, Iceland, Slovakia, Israel, Taiwan, China, Korea, People’s Democratic Republic, Republic of Korea, Bulgaria, Turkey, Japan, USA , New Zealand and Poland. Like every year, the pianists presented a high level of their performances. The competition certainly left the participants, their guardians and viewers with many unforgettable memories.
